A pillar in the SWFL community for over 18 years, Bikram Yoga Fort Myers has rode the wave of the Bikram Yoga saga and is still standing. Never changing the name or sacrificing the principles of the Yoga for profits, it was built on integrity and remains so to this day.
All of the yoga classes, workshops, and lectures will take place at this renowned Bikram Yoga School which is independently owned and operated by HYCA Co-Founder James "Jimmy Ji" Mahon. Whether loved or hated, he is respected for his purist beliefs of this amazing Practice and the dedication to his students who average 8+ years at the school. There is an attainable reason his school has survived this long and his students keep coming back for more. You will be fully immersed in the lifestyle that this powerful system can provide to you and your chosen community.
Accomodation
Ashram Style
Since our training course is limited to a few select individuals, all trainees will live together in a spacious SWFL rental home during the course of training, forging strong bonds and memories. HYCA operates as a family. Traditionally, an Ashram is the home of a spiritual master or teacher who lives there with his family and visitors that stay at an Ashram become a part of the teacher’s family.

The Hot Yoga College of America stands on it's own merits. HYCA is more than just a Teacher Training, it is a movement. Approximately 85% of hot yoga studios have altered or bastardized the Bikram Beginning System, yet these groups claim to preserve the standards of our community. It appears standards go right out the door as long as you are paying your membership fee...

The HYCA certification is more than just a piece of paper that says you've clocked a certain number of hours, it is a pledge to uphold the System to the highest standard with integrity and independence in your own endeavor to create health and happiness in your community.
HYCA will give you life-long support and affiliation, without any additional fees.
Candidates
The HYCA Teacher Training is a six week intensive program best suited for Students who have a serious Practice of a minimum of 2 years and a deep desire to run and lead their own school. However, it is not limited to these traits, if you also possess these qualities, HYCA is for you:
- A strong yearning to discover the deeper meaning of the Practice
- A desire to acquire foundation building leadership skills that will help to excel you in all aspects of your life
- A passion to keep this System strong and pure for future generations
The HYCA program also serves as a strong mentorship course to already Certified Bikram Teachers or Studio Owners who never received mentoring or appropriate guidance after their training. All Certified Bikram Teachers or Studio Owners will receive a discount off tuition price.
Tuition
Every penny you invest is carefully calculated to provide you with a top-notch experience that will catapult your quest. We are not in it for the profits, but there are associated costs to running a program of this standard. All tuition includes:
- Accommodations and *Transportation for the full six weeks (*flights to and from Fort Myers, FL not included)
- All course materials, including provided texts and proprietary curriculum outlines
